Introduction:
The movies of luminous filmmaker Rakesh Roshan are always awaited much due to their unique themes and melodious music to touch the hearts. His previous ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ wrote history in fetching awards on all awards functions of the year and the music of the film simply got caught the listeners’ soul. Now Rakesh Roshan is once again geared up with his forthcoming biggie ‘Krrish’ that is a sequel of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Expectations are undoubtedly very high considering the earlier success of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Hopes sky-high to see the success of Krrish as well at the box office. The music desk of the album is handled by Rajesh Roshan (composition) and Nasir Faraaz, Ibrahim Ashk and Vijay Akela (Lyrics). Since gorgeous Preity Zinta was the leading woman opposite Hrithik in ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, in Krrish stunning dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra takes the driving seat opposite brawny Hrithik Roshan. Preity Zinta nonetheless appears on the film as a guest star. The cream has been roped in to act in the film from Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah to Puneet Issar. How will be the music of this album? Let’s find it out unzipping all the numbers on the soundtrack.

1) Pyaar Ki Ek Kahani (Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal)
The versatile Sonu Nigam and saccharine Shreya Ghoshal open up the album with ‘Pyaar Ki Kahani’. The superbly melodious and sugar-coated track, the number is a hit all the way since the day it came out. A true chart-buster, it has been doing the same on all satellite channels from the outset. Sonu is as usual croons with much ease and confidence whereas Shreya is pretty to listen to. Shreya Ghoshal is proving day by day with every new assignment that she is not only a beauty but has a classy brain to show her talents. Ibrahim Ashq, who has dashed off lyrics for Rakesh’s earlier movies – ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Kaho Naa Payaar Hai’, pens the poetry for this song and depicts simple yet impressive lyrics. The master of melodies, veteran Rajesh Roshan stickpiles the composition and makes this number a spongy treat. The visuals are eye-pleasing and both Hrithik and Priyanka look beautiful enacting the job aptly.
Rating: 9/10

2) Koi Tumsa Nahin (Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal)
The duo of Sonu and Shreya emerges on the scene again with the second track ‘Koi Tumsa Nahin’. As the movie talks about a super hero, it looks weird to have melodious love numbers on the album since this one ‘Koi Tumsa Nahin’ is also a romantic track. Putting the movie theme aside, if you just want to soothe your souls then don’t think too much and don’t match the movie theme to the music. Sonu and Shreya both allure with their sugary renditions. Nasir Faraaz scribbles down the lines very carefully and intelligently, which are then embossed by the trademark composition of Rajesh Roshan that glides on the listener the moment it starts playing. A pleasing track to stay with.
Rating: 8.5/10

3) Koi Tumsa Nahin (Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal) – Big Band Mix
The Big Band Mix version entices you in full also like the original.
Rating: 8/10

4) Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghoshal)
Chori Chori Chupke Chupke carries the true feel of a small village and it further develops when the maestro Udit Narayan chips in his soothing vocals. Still the singer’s voice is so fresh that one cannot figure out that a singer with almost 25 years of experience is singing the lines. This love duet becomes more sugar-coated when Shreya joins in the show and pleases you from tip to toe. Nasir Faraaz’s lyrics and Rajesh Roshan’s music are marvelous. Listen it to enjoy it.
Rating: 8.5/10

5) Dil Na Diya (Kunal Ganjawala)
It’s now the turn of the singer who has his own distinctive energetic style of rendering a song. Yes, he is Kunal Ganjawal who trills ‘Dil Na Diya’ with usual lively rendition that takes you away to the world of pleasures and joys. Vijay Akela pens in the lyrics, that depict the feel of a fiesta, attract a lot. Rajesh Roshan gets you glued to your CD player.
Rating: 8/10

6) Main Hoon Woh Aasman (Rafaqat Ali Khan and Alka Yagnik)
‘Main Hoon Woh Aasman’ appears in two versions – original and Mystic Love Mix. The newcomer Rafaqat Ali Khan and virtuoso Alka Yagnik team up to deliver the lines. Both sing with aplomb. This song tells about the super hero character of the film and has a mystic feel attached to it. Nasir Faraaz with lyrics and Rajesh Roshan with music lure the listeners with their jobs.
Rating: 8/10

7) Main Hoon Woh Aasman (Rafaqat Ali Khan and Alka Yagnik) – Mystic Love Mix
This version has a bit of faster beats but goes well with your mood. The soundtrack to Krrish ends up with this version.
Rating: 8/10

Overall:
‘Krrish’ will certainly hit the jackpot like ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and you can make sure with the repeated hearings of the songs. Roshans (Rakesh, Rajesh and Hrithik) do have reasons to smile. A whopping amount of sales can be expected from the stands. Let’s wait once again to see the whole team of ‘Krrish’ receiving awards at the awards functions after the release.
Overall Rating: 9/10
