Producer: Sohail Khan Four youthful friends take on a cartoon-istic gang-lord, with the aid of a self-proclaimed ‘He-Man’, and end up saving the world…. Does this sound like a kiddies film to you? It could well have been that if the ‘fight’ scenes had been cut… Vikram Chopra’s Fight Club may have a duplicate title to the Hollywood Brad Pitt masterpiece, it may also have a plot resemblance with the key characters starting up a fight society, but it is in no way as splendid as that. In fact it is an inadequate attempt at a ‘lads- flick’. Five actors, appearing exquisite on-screen, with flawless bodies and immaculate looks, totter away like a cracked record when united as one. Not a single element of chemistry is evident between Zayed Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Dino Morea and Aashish Chaudhary. Even the additional presence of more ‘hunks’ (Sohail Khan, Suniel Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Rahul Dev), does not manage to revive this dreadful saga of good versus evil.
Amrita Arora, Neha Dhupia and Dia Mirza catch your eye with alluring attractiveness, but that is the only thing they catch… and nothing else. In a film with seven heroes (I think!), the scales can not be levelled by only three sizzling heroines. More body-show would have made the medication get consumed quicker. As like many recent Indian flicks, this has also been produced professionally and appears polished to the eye… But, if you don’t get the plot and acting spot on, you will not come up trumps. Fight Club does not come up trumps. Fight Club strives hard to sustain the full twelve rounds, getting knocked out numerous times during its epic near three hour voyage. Tony’s Tip/s:
