Into their lives comes Shahshank (Jimmy Shergill), a young lad who has grown up to respect his elders. Treating the senior citizens with care, affection and respect, Shahshank quickly finds a small place in their hearts. The twist comes when Shashank falls in love with Sapna who happens to be the daughter of a rich businessman.

But Sapna’s dad does not approve of this relationship because of Shashank’s low financial status. So it is not long before Shahshank gets framed for a murder he did not commit. A guilty verdict results in court which puts him behind bars. Shocked by what had happened, the three old men plan his escape when he is being taken to the prison. During the ambush, Shahshank manages to escape but is shot in the process.

For his safety, he is sheltered in Iqbal’s house but when his children find out about this, they beat the hell out of the senior citizens. Shashank intervenes and saves them from their children’s wrath. To prevent anymore friction between the pensioners and their respective families, Shashank decides to leave. But instead, all three become fugitives along with Shashank. And so a four man army is formed fighting for justice and how they clear Shashank’s name in the eyes of the law forms the climax of this movie.

Umar is a touching and gripping story of courage and bravery for audiences of all ages.
