Director:
Sujoy Ghosh Bollywood newcomers Vivek Oberoi and Ayesha Takia are paired for the very first time in director Sujoy Ghosh's latest movie Home Delivery. The film is the story of a journalist Sunny Malhotra (Vivek Oberoi) who writes an advice column for Times of Hindustan. He’s engaged to the pretty Jenny (Ayesha Takia) and set to marry shortly. One lucky day Sunny meets top Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar (playing himself during a special appearance) and bags a major screenplay writing project. Things start getting really hectic for Sunny, who is juggling his newspaper job and screenplay project, together with a budding romance with South Indian superstar Maya (Mahima Chaudhary), despite his engagement. Things get a little out of control and Sunny needs someone to enter his life and set things straight. Enter 51-year-old pizza delivery man Michael (Boman Irani), a simple yet hugely optimistic man who recently stated work at the food place. However a pizza delivery soon becomes a whole lot more for Sunny, who is soon taught life’s simple lessons! Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, who previously made Jhankaar Beats, the film also features a special appearance by Juhi Chawla. Home Delivery is expected to release 11th November 2005.
