EHSAAS

Director: Mahesh Manjreker
Producer: Pravin Shah
Starring: Sunil Shetty, Neha, Master Mayank Tandon

RATING: 4/10

The idea behind the storyline of 'Ehsaas- A Feeling' began when director Mahesh Manjreker worked on 'Kurukshetra', which was also being produced by Pravin Shah. Together they thought up a story which involving a father's relationship with his 10-year-old son.

The producer describes the storyline as focusing on the strains caused by friction between father and son, and says the aim of the film is to help parents understand their child's point of view and make children aware of their responsibilities.

However, director Mahesh Manjrekar, who is famous for critically acclaimed films such as 'Vaastav' and 'Astitva' takes a more light-hearted viewpoint. He states the film is about a father's expectations, which clash with his child's intentions; he even describes the story as being mildly influenced by his experiences as a child.

Sunil Shetty, who is better known for his action flicks rather than melodrama, takes a different turn after winning an award for his emotional role in 'Dhadkan' by starring as the father of Master Mayank.

The director describes him as a mature actor who can perform any role with ease. The film also stars Neha, playing a widow who is Sunil's neighbour.

Most of the film is shot in the backdrop of Goa and Anand Raaj Anand provides music. Both director and producer have high hopes for the film, but with a similar subject to unsuccessful 'Yash', released earlier in the year everyone is hoping for the best.
