Bollywood filmmaker Suneel Darshan, the man behind ‘Jaanwar’ (1999), Ek Rishtaa (2001) and the recently released ‘Barsaat’ (2005), returns to the scene with his latest movie, ‘Dosti – Friends Forever’.

The family film, starring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor and Lara Dutta, aims to capture the spirit of true friendship. Dwelling on the bond that binds two people together, Dosti is Suneel Darshan’s melodious farewell to 2005 where he invites filmgoers to spend the holiday season with friends and remember what it is that spurned their friendship.

Dosti is a story of Karan (Bobby Deol) and Raj (Akshay Kumar). Two friends who had nothing in common and were quite literally, complete opposites. Karan was wealthy and lived in a mansion while Raj had empty pockets and the sky as his roof.

They were as different as can be yet found a common ground which built the foundation of friendship that was unshakable. But their blind faith in each other attracted the envy of the world and it was this very world that reminded them they were not equals.
