Predicted Rating: 6/10 Bollywoods endless supply of star children desperate to repeat the success of their parents continues with Soha Ali Khan. The pretty young newcomer is the daughter of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore (not to mention sister of Saif Ali Khan). She makes her much-awaited Bollywood debut towards the end of December in the romantic comedy Dil Maange More alongside heartthrob Shahid Kapoor and fellow newcomers Ayesha Takia and Tulip Joshi. The film was shot in a short period of time in of Goa, Malaysia and Mumbai. Its now ready to hit the big screen, so Radio Sargam's Robeel Haq takes a look... The story is about a laid-back and simple guy called Nikhil (Shahid Kapoor) who lives a happy life in the small town of Samarpur. However his perfect life is disrupted when girlfriend Neha (Soha Ali Khan) decides to fulfil her ambitions of becoming an airhostess by leaving Samarpur and heading to the bright lights of Mumbai. Even his love of football takes a backseat compared to his feelings for Neha. Therefore, unable to risk the heartbreak, Nikhil follows Neha to the big city. However things dont exactly run smoothly for the romantic youngster and once he arrives in Mumbai, his love life reaches a complex crossroad, with three different paths. The first of course leads to Neha. The second points towards his new work colleague Sara (Tulip Joshi), who works with Nikhil in a music store. The third and final path goes towards his neighbour Shagun (Ayesha Takia), a fashion designer who remains sceptical about men following the separation of her mother and father during childhood. Nikhil thinks hes fallen in love with all three ladies. However life is about to teach him an important lesson about love leading to his true life-partner! Dil Maange More releases towards the end of December 2004. Although Tusshar Kapoor originally signed the male lead, the films producers are probably thrilled Bollywoods latest golden boy Shahid Kapoor ended up bagging the project instead. With the success of Ishq Vishk (well ignore Fida for now!) will box office success continue with Dil Maange More? Written by Robeel Haq |
