Director: Sanjay Gadhvi PREDICTED RATING: 7/10 The story opens in Mumbai where a sophisticated gang of robbers is sweeping through the city. This is proving to be a nightmare for the police department. The gang operates like the wind, sweeping the place and disappear even before the word thief is even uttered! The hi-tech bikes, the slickest, meanest and the fastest, form the gateway of the robbers. So, police officer, Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), is drafted in to solve these mysterious robberies. No sooner is he appointed, Jai is on the trail of the robbers. The gang is headed by Kabir (John Abraham), a perfectionist with an attitude. Him and his gang transform into pizza delivery boys after each robbery. So in his hunt for the robbers, Jai comes across Ali (Uday Chopra). At first Jai suspects him to be the gang leader. Instead, it turns out that Ali is a garage mechanic who has one aim in life - that's to settle down with a family of his own. As Jai gets to know Ali, he finds that this man can ride bikes like the wind. He decides to team up with him to chase the robbers. So an ambush is set up. But Kabir soon gets wind of the Jai-Ali team. He challenges them to catch him. If they fail, Jai must resign from his police job. Jai, being a proud man, takes on the challenge. And so begins a cat and mouse chase between these characters. Kabir uses one of his devious schemes to his advantage. He manages not only to split Jai and Ali but also to get away with the biggest loot of all time from Mumbai city. He lures Ali into his gang and they move base from Mumbai to sunny Goa. Unable to catch the thieves, Jai resigns from his job. With time on his hands, Jai decides to take his wife on a much needed holiday to Goa. Is Jai's arrival in Goa just a coincidence or is it a part of a larger plan? Dhoom has the answers.
