The uncrowned king of comedy, David Dhawan, is back with more madcap and mayhem in the Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu and Shilpa Shetty starrer, Chor Machaye Shor. After repeatedly working with Govinda and Salman Khan, Dhawan's choice to work with Bobby couldn't have come at a better time, what with the success of Humraaz and his performance getting the critics' approval. Also with Bipasha being “hot” property at the moment Dhawan looks set to churn out a sure-fire winner.

The story is about Sham (Bobby Deol), who steals a diamond worth 30 crores but stashes it away on a building site before his arrest. He willingly goes to jail in the knowledge that on his release he can retrieve the diamond. But as fate would have it a Police HQ is built on top of the hidden diamond. Sham decides to go undercover as a cop, Inspector Ram, so he can access the HQ on a regular basis. Here he meets an uptight and unwomanly female cop, Inspector Ranjita (Bipasha Basu). She begins to fall for him as she blooms into a desirable and stunning woman. Kajal (Shilpa Shetty), daughter of the ACP, falls in love with her father's driver who is coincidentally Inspector Ram!

Shekhar Suman seems to be an added highlight to the slapstick caper. He plays a total of seven roles - Bobby's friend, his mother, a prostitute, a modern woman, a don, a Sardar, and a hippy. Also the music of this film is a definite plus point, hats off to Anu Malik for rendering some great masala, mass appealing numbers. The film looks set to be an out and out entertainer, the kind of film where you leave your brains at home. Chor Machaye Shor opens in cinemas on 30th August.
