Director: Raju Narula PREDICTED RATING: 5/10 Love is the strongest emotion in the world. It happens to everyone at anyone time in anyone circumstance. Chori Chori proposes to explore these ideas in a rags-to-riches fairy tale. It tells the story of a young woman who on the surface asserts "Marriage isn't for me" but deep inside awaits her knight in shining armour to sweep her off her feet. Meet Khushi (Rani Mukherjee). As an orphan she has seen the hard life but has always dreamed of being saved and welcomed into a loving family threshold. Being brought up by a couple of wedding singers, Khushi sees many brides come and go and it is here where she secretly dreams of her own marriage. When Khushi meets Ranbir (Ajay Devgan), an architect from a Delhi firm, the two don't hit it off. Ranbir isn't a believer of love; he thinks that falling in love ruins everything. But what begins as an unexpected relationship forms into a beautiful one. Khushi lets her guard down for she feels Ranbir can offer her everything she only dreamed of. Ranbir also resists his beliefs when he learns a total stranger (Khushi) believed in him. And so, the two set of on an exciting new adventure. Chori Chori has been in limbo for many months now, with constant delays in setting a confirmed release date. Not a good start for Milan Luthria's directorial debut. The good musical score from the relatively new music directors, Sajid-Wajid, could have helped this film along had the film released when first anticipated. But it seems that the gap between releasing the music and the film has exceeded its expiry date, and one wonders if anyone is still interested in the film. The film is now set for release on 1st November, here's hoping the film doesn't come and go, chori chori!
