Shah Rukh Khan’s stunning and fashionable wife Gauri is reportedly doing a TV show for a popular channel that’s based on investigative crime stories. Not one to get into the reality show genre, Gauri’s production house is working on short crime stories on the lines of the hit TV show CID. Apparently, the buzz is that the Bollywood Badshah would like to rule Tellyland as well. And after producing a couple of shows for the idiot box, SRK is keen to do one like America’s Next Top Model which is hosted by Hollywood sizzler Tyra Banks.

For this, Shah Rukh has apparently roped in Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu and his show will be called Female Model Hunt.

The flick is directed by Girish Dhamija who earlier directed Yakeen and is produced by Vikram Bhatt.

The actress will be paired opposite Rajneesh Duggal who was earlier seen in 1920.

I am a Law Professor at the New Castle University and Rajneesh whose character name is Kabir is a doctor. The shooting of the film happened in New Castle in England and I have finished shooting 90% of it.”

Further she said, “The movie is an urban romantic thriller with a philosophical twist which is slated to release sometime next year in March or April.”

Furthermore, Rani has curtly asked the show’s producers, Cineyug not to make her resume her position as the judge until her demands are met.

Commenting on why Rani is so upset, a source said, “Rani doesn’t want the DPL participants to be eliminated starting this level (Level 5). She is of the opinion that the DPL winner must be chosen from the existing participants.”

Consequently, the channel and the DPL producers Cineyug are in a fix. They are in no position to abide by her diktat as the show has already completed more than 60 per cent of its running time. Also, the format of the show cannot be changed overnight as it will involve a lot of planning.

The vice-president of the channel, Danish Khan, said, “We are only interested in the final product. Cineyug, who make this show for us, will be the right people to talk to you about this.”

Mohammed Morani of Cineyug confirmed the story and said, “I was out of town when Rani walked out of the show. I don’t know why Rani doesn’t want eliminations to happen at this level. We have reached Level 5 in the show and need to carry out the eliminations to make the contest interesting. We are trying to explain this to her.”

According to inside sources from the television industry, Khan has been asked by the channel to deliberately mislead housemates into believing he’s making a wild-card entry.

“In reality, Khan entered the reality show on Thursday as a mere visitor. But by making the housemates think he’s a wild-card entry, the channel wants to provoke the housemates and create a bitter drama. On Sunday it would be revealed that Kamal Khan is not a contestant at all any more, and not eligible to win ‘Bigg Boss’,” said the source.

It was a tough call as there were six nominations this week including the newly entered Pravesh Rana and all time nomination favorite Bhaktiyar Irani. However, Pravesh made his presence felt by flirting with German Model Claudia. But perhaps his confrontation with Rohit and Vindu was the turning point and perhaps audience wants to see more of it.

With Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) already in house as a Wild Card Entry, it will be interesting to see how he teams up with Pravesh Rana and fight against the Vindu-Raju-Rohit trio.

TRP’s first project is to execute the prestigious Dance India Dance – Season 2 on ZEE TV, to be telecast December 2009. Dance India Dance is presented by Leo One Pictures Limited owned by film producer Sandeep Shukla who has been involved in producing a large number of films.

Harbhajan Singh vouched support for TRP saying, “My association with cricket has always brought me closer to my countrymen through television. I see TRP as a step to further my business interests, television and media industry is a growing sector. At TRP we would create sports and non-sports content for our viewers. I am confident our team would work at its best to provideThe Right Picture to our audience.”

The huge contest, which commences in India next month will see musicians Himesh Reshammiya, Mika Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Shaan and Shankar Mahadevan share the same platform.

‘Music Ka Mahamuquabla’ as the show will be known, has been conceptualised and produced by Gajendra Singh of Sai Baba Telefilms. The series, spanning 13 weeks, is tipped to be launched sometime in mid-December to occupy the weekend primetime slot.

The show will feature “intense rivalry” between six teams, captained by the singing celebrities. Completing each team will be three accomplished young singers as well a newbie singer selected through auditions from among the country’s multitudes.

Auditions will be held in Mumbai, Kolkta, Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi and Ahmedabad, to hunt for the singer who will join each team representing a different region.

STAR India chief operating officer Sanjay Gupta said, “Just when everyone thought that there is no way one can reinvent a music realty show, STAR Plus has done precisely that. For the first time, we will see the top names in the industry perform and compete. This is quite simply a coming together of the A-list, a contest between the best of the best.”

‘Music Ka Mahamuquabla’ is expected to start in the UK in January.

However, there’s a catch. There’s an alarm that will ring which will signal the beginning of the water supply from the tank and the housemates will have to fill in only as much water as is required by them for washing and bathing. Filling of the water has to be stopped the moment the alarm rings again. At the end of the task, the housemates will be entitled to a luxurious budget on the basis of the amount of unused water remaining in the tank!

Unpredictable as ever, this week we see six people being nominated to be evicted from the house! The nominees this week include, Bakhtiyaar, Aditi, Pravesh, Claudia, Rohit and Vindu. Guess, the audience is going to have a tough job deciding whom to throw out and whom to keep inside the house.

We were tickled no end when we saw Vindu finding himself in jail, Rohit in a cage (yes actually a cage!!!) and Raju standing in the middle of the pool. We think that’s a great way to teach these manipulators a lesson. The question is: will they learn from their mistakes? Or will they make a habit of making mistakes? Shamita feels a sense of unreality about the reality show. “It was a month of my life. But it feels like a lifetime. I left a place where I went through the strangest of experiences. I was thrown into situations where we were bickering over a basic thing like food. And now my sister is getting married. I’m so disoriented, it isn’t funny? I need to sit and discuss the whole experience of ‘Bigg Boss’ with my sister before we discuss her wedding. Otherwise, I’m going to burst.”

Shamita Shetty, who chose voluntary eviction from the ‘Bigg Boss’ House on Friday night, is very upset with the way her sister Shilpa’s marriage was broken to her in the House.

“First of all, I was the last person to get to know about my sister’s engagement and wedding. That in itself was upsetting enough. But I can’t hold anything against her. And she’s marrying the most wonderful man, so I’m happy for her. But I’m not happy with the way I heard the news.”

The wild-card entrant Pravesh Rana came into the house and broke the news to Shamita. “He casually told me my sister was getting married! He gave me a wrong date November 25, and then he said that it was December 25. By then, I was wild with anxiety about my sister’s wedding plans. Tell me; was this way to break the news? So clumsy. It did create a friction between me and Pravesh. But, eventually we were talking cordially.”

Shamita was not too happy with the way she was evicted either. “I was called into the confession room where I was given a letter written by my sister and mother. I burst out crying when I read Shilpa’s words explaining that the wedding had to be preponed. And then I was told to leave through a little door in the confession room, in my chappals! I couldn’t even say goodbye to my friends Aditi Gowitrikar, Bakhtiar and Tanaaz Irani.”

All said and done, Shamita says she’s happy she went to ‘Bigg Boss’. “I had just done a Oneness (spiritual healing) course. ‘Bigg Boss’ gave me a chance to try out all that I had learnt at the Oneness course. I had to be calm, patient and fight negativity. I did a good job of it.”

Shamita says she has lost so much weight in ‘Bigg Boss’, that her father was alarmed when he saw her!

Says Shamita, “The funniest thing is, we were given only potato and rice during the first week, food articles that go totally against my diet. I protested to ‘Bigg Boss’. No one paid any attention. Now that I’m out, I need to get over the experience and take over the arrangements for my sister’s wedding.”

The show is produced by Gajendrra Siingh’s Saibaba Telefilms and is tipped to launch in December.

This is going to be a big ticket show and according to sources, STAR Plus is pinning its hope on it to generate the much needed TRPs during the weekends.

According to the source, the show boasts of some famous music directors like Himesh Reshammiya, Shankar Mahadevan, Mika and Mohit Chauhan.

The show which was earlier titled as ‘MPL’ (Music Premiere League) will go in for a title change as Sony Entertainment Television Asia is currently airing a dance based show titled ‘DPL’ (Dance Premiere League).

A source from TellyChakkar said, “Singers like Rahul Vaidya, Vineet Singh, Debojeet Saha, Harshit Saxena, Raja Hassan, Aneek Dhar, Himani and a few singers from Chhote Ustaad are tipped to be participating in the show. There will be six teams and each team will have one mentor. The mentors as of now who are almost finalised are Himesh Reshammiya, Shankar Mahadevan, Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan and Mika. There will be no individual eliminations but teams will be evicted. The show is tipped to hit the tube in the second week of December.”

Ayushmann Khurrana is likely to host the show.

The programme will air in the UK in late-December or early January.

Two shows confirmed to face the axe in the coming weeks are ‘Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag’ followed by ‘Love Ne Milla Di Jodi’.

A source told TellyChakkar, “Yes it’s true that Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag is going off air and soon many other shows will follow.”

STAR One has recently faced stiff competition from a resurged SAB TV, which has toppled the SYAR channel on most occasions this year. STAR One will be launching a string of new shows in India in the early part of next year.

In the UK, STAR One has already begun overhaul process by launching a daily movie slot, classic drama ‘Mahabharat’ and local music celebrity show ‘Hot Seat’. It also premiered ‘Sach Ka Samna’ on STAR One instead of showing it on STAR Plus to lure new viewers.

On condition of anonymity, the contestant adds, “Shweta walks in late but she gets really irritated if she is made to wait even for a few minutes. She doesn’t mingle with us and keeps to herself.” Another source reveals, “If she is chatting on the phone, she keeps others waiting till she leisurely finishes her conversation. Her mantra is ‘Don’t count me as everybody, I am Shweta Tiwari’. She has said so often to the production guys when they have asked her to be ready for a shot or when others are waiting to complete shooting. She behaves like an uncrowned queen even though she is not a big star. She is only doing Comedy Circus. Anoop Soni, who is a part of Balika Vadhu, which is such a popular show, is so good to everyone.”

We caught Shweta’s teammate, Anoop Soni while he was busy shooting for Comedy Circus. “Shweta, Rehman (the third teammate) and I have started to bond during the shooting. So, I cannot comment on this,” he says.

Shweta sarcastically dismissed the story.

He will be flying to New York early next year for a US-based reality show. And guess what? Sachin will be directing the show, along with being a celebrity judge. Ask him about it and he says, “I cannot reveal much, but yes it is a reality show for which I have been working for an American Company for the last two months. After a series of grilling interviews, they hired me as a director for the show,” says Sachin, who’s acted in serials like Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, Vaidehi, CID etc. Later when the company got to know Sachin is an actor, they got him to be on the panel of judges with celebrity trainer Craig Ramsay, supermodel James Ellis and Miss Jamaica 2005 Daisi Pollard. “It’s going to be nothing less than a war, as each day is going to unfold new things. It’s a great opportunity for an Indian actor to get on to the global platform. I’m looking forward to meeting the challenges that I come across,” says an excited Sachin.

He has, in the past, directed a few travel-based reality shows, this is the first full-time show that he would be directing.

In the last season of reality show “Bigg Boss”, Raja was kept in a secret room for 24 hours and made to see the happenings of the house without the knowledge of the housemates. This time Taanaz has the honour.

She has seen all the tapes of the show and will enter the house armed with much more information and confidence.

Tanaaz is particularly upset with Vindu Dara Singh, Rohit Verma and Raju Shrivastav for playing a game with her and husband Bakhtiyaar. She is also angry that these men have accused her and Bakhtiyaar of teaming up and playing a game.

She said she could not believe what she saw on the show’s footage. But now she has a game plan chalked out and will give it back to them when she returns on the show.

The supposed reason for her return is to save the show’s ratings from plummeting.

Earlier the channel said it was making both shows seven-days to run throughout the week, including weekends. However, it has now retracted its decision as it will take a toll on the entire cast and crew of the shows.

Starting this week in India, both shows will air Monday through to Friday. UK viewers will see the change next month.

Recently, STAR Plus has taken a knock in the ratings with Colors outperforming the former numero uno channel. ZEE TV too has dislodged STAR Plus from the number two position but only on two occasions recently.

The contest, which was initially scheduled for November 8, is now postponed to November 17, solely because of Aditi’s absence. The organisers have suffered huge monetary losses due to this change of plan. The furious organiser Musha tells us, “We paid Aditi Rs 5 lakh as the signing amount, but she joined a reality show, leaving us in a lurch. Her unavailability and non-professionalism has resulted in the event’s sponsors and participants labelling me as a fraud. Later, I decided to go ahead without her. I had no other option.”

The contest has 24 models vying for the title and has a mix of industry people as judges and guests. Singer Anoop Jalota, musician Monty Sharma, actresses Preeti Jhangiani, Aditi Sharma and comedian Navin Prabhakar are among the many who are on the list.

The channel that airs the reality show Aditi is participating in did not revert to our messages asking for Aditi or their take on the story.

Talking about her premature exit, Shamita said, “I am just so excited about Shilpa`s wedding. Family comes first for me, so I couldn`t help but come out of the show to be with her.”

While she was inside the house, Shamita could be seen really upset when she found out about her sister’s engagement, and that’s perhaps when she decided to leave the show to be a part of the grand celebration in her family.

“I’m so happy to be out. The minute I got out I grabbed the nearest person’s phone and called my sister. We are extremely close and I am so glad I am going to be able to attend her wedding,” said Shamita.

Shamita`s exit will telecast on ‘Bigg Boss 3’ this Saturday.

We spoke to Mrs. Shweta Mehta, Aaina’s mother who says, “Nothing has been finalized yet. The production house people said they will call us back and let us know about the status.”

Aap Ki Antara is now truly set for the leap as the major hindrance has been cleared- the casting of future version of the kids of the show…According to our source, “Abhishek’s role will be played by Sahil Deshmukh and that of Billoo will be played by Sandeep Upadhyay.”One more kid is introduced to the existing baccha party. Says our source, “Viewers will get to see Aarti’s kid as presently she is shown pregnant. The kid’s onscreen name is Mili and the role of Mili will be portrayed by Apoorva Paranjpe.”We contacted producer Mohnish Sekhri who confirms the news.

Tanaaz, best remembered for her role in comedy show “Zaban Sambhal Ke”, the Indian version of “Mind Your Language”, was nominated for eviction along with her husband Bakhtiyaar Irani, but got more votes in her name.

Tanaaz had a tough time dealing with her “Bigg Boss” co-contestants due to her temperament. She also had constant arguments with Bakhtiyaar.

She hugged Bakhtiyaar while leaving the “Bigg Boss” house and told him to “be good”.

“Bigg Boss”, the Indian version of international reality show “Celebrity Big Brother”, is currently in its third season. In the show, 13 celebrities are locked up inside a secluded house for 84 days and kept under constant camera surveillance without any contact with the outside world. The show airs on Colors channel.

The Ekta Kapoor produced daily drama based loosely on Bollywood actor, Shiney Ahuja’s rape allegations will be taking a twist in episodes to come.

Currently, Shamoli (Sumana Das) and driver Veeru’s (Karan Kundra) love track is the focal point of the show. Both are madly in love with each other. But soon Shamoli’s elder sister Kanchan (Priyamvada Kant) comes in the picture and develops a liking for Veeru, thus forming a love triangle. Later Kunal Mehra confesses that even he loves Shamoli which then leads to a love square! But a major twist will surface when Kunal who is unable to win over Shamoli, rapes her. However the rape scene is not happening anytime soon. It will be canned when the show reaches midlife.

A source informed TellyChakkar, “Yes the show will see lawyer Kunal Mehra raping his maid Shamoli and this track is inspired from the Shiney Ahuja rape case. The story of the show is that the protagonist will be raped by her employer, but the rape is not happening in the near future.”

The source further adds, “There will be many twists and turns coming in before the rape scene, which is the climax, happens.”

‘Raaz Picchle Janam Ka’ will feature various individual who undergo past life regression and reveal secrets of their past.

The channel is presently in talks with film and TV personalities like Sushmita Sen, Smriti Irani, Sakshi Tanwar, Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu, Saif Ali Khan, Navjyot Singh Siddhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Amar Singh, Kapil Dev and Laloo Prasad Yadav.

Trupti Jayin, a professional expert, will carry out the regression with the participants of the show. Ravi Kissen, will host the daily show. The show will run over five weeks, Tuesday through to Saturday between 21:30 and 22:30.

While the unease of this decision was still sinking in, the nominations began and surprise surprise…Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar ended up getting nominated again and are now in the running for being evicted. Vindu’s tactics seemed to have saved him from scoring a nomination hat-trick; but seems like Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar’s pleas and apologies couldn’t do them much good.

While the nominations were on, new boy Pravesh found himself locked in jail with the German beauty Claudia. To add a little excitement to the life of housemates in Bigg Boss, Pravesh seems to have become a big hit with the women in the household as his charm has left Claudia batting her eyelids for his attention.

Sent to jail for speaking English, the duo were far from being hassled. We think they more than enjoyed each other’s exclusive company. Their jail term was terminated soon as the stipulated time for their imprisonment was over and they were released. The task given to the housemates where they had to present Bigg Boss news was carried out very well on Pravesh and Claudia’s exit from jail. Speaking of prison, Bigg Boss was very disappointed by Shamita’s lack of responsibility towards her job as the jailor and she was stripped off the jailor’s duty. On asking housemates to choose another jailor, Raju became the jailor by popular vote.

Monday, along with nominations, also brings a new task-’Malika-e-Bigg Boss’. Aditi has seemed to found favour with Bigg Boss as she is crowned the Malika and other housemates have to do as she pleases. The roles are distributed to each housemate as Pravesh and Bhaktiyar have to cook for her, Claudia and Vinod have to entertain her, Shamita is her personal attendant, Poonam and Rohit have to do the cleaning of the house, Vindu and Tanaaz have to serve her. Only Raju is exempt from any duty. Anybody can be dismissed by a snooty – Takliya!

How long will it take before jealously kicks in or Aditi starts taking her make-believe role seriously? Only Aditi can sleep in the women’s bedroom.

How will Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar be able to perform weekly tasks ? They end up picking a fight with each other as Tanaaz refuses to cooperate until the confusion ends. Bakhtiyaar says that he won’t be close to her and will never ever participate in any other reality show with her!

Will the married couple break up? Will Claudia and Pravesh get together? Will Aditi be a gracious Malika? To find out tune into Bigg Boss 3 at 9pm daily on COLORS!

Legendary ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye is the one actually operating the puppet in the ad. Padhye said, “When I met Aamir, his first reaction shocked me. He said, ‘It’s lovely meeting you again,’ even though I was meeting him for the first time. Then he told me about noting the time of my Doordarshan show Meri Bhi Suno, in his school notebook and watching it regularly. Though Aamir couldn’t recall the puppet’s name, Ardhavat Rao, he was very excited when I brought it along one day. He stared at it, like a fan would at his favourite actor. It was impossible for a novice to create a false voice, so soon. So, I asked Aamir to try and pick up my body language to add a kind of chemistry between the puppet and him.”

‘Fauji’s’ sequel is being produced by Khan’s own production house, Red Chillies Idiot Box which had been handed over the reigns by Col.Kapoor, who had conceptualised, produced and acted in the original series.

As per sources Khan is currently shooting for the show this week and it will be a flashback sequence.

A source from Telly Chakkar, said, “Shah Rukh who is busy with his Bollywood commitments has squeezed out time for his dream project on television. This is a show that is extremely close to him as it is through Fauji that he shot to fame. He will be shooting with us for an hour and his scenes will be with actor Pulkit Samrat who plays his son on the show. We will shoot a flashback scene with the two actors in which Pulkit reminisces time spent with his father played by Khan. SRK will be shown dead on the show. We expect him to keep making such entries in the show every now and then if the script demands.”

The housemates had to openly nominate their choice of evictees and also present reasons for doing so! The atmosphere in the house went from bad to worse as one could smell bitterness in the air. And with each person coming up with their nominations, nasty looks, bitter frowns and exasperated sighs abound!

As the nomination process continues, strong signs of groupism become more and more evident. What is surprising is that along with expected contenders, some unexpected names also crop up. Once the nominations are over, Shamita, Aditi and Rohit break down.

Vindu gets nominated again due to his horrible behavior towards Sherlyn as she was leaving the house. Housemates feel that he does not have any respect for women. Also, probably his assumption of being invincible after being saved once is something bothering the housemates.

The next nomination was Ismail Darbar as expected since he missed by a vote in the last nominations. Although most of the housemates said that his injured hand which rendered him unable to handle any household task was the reason why he was being nominated, however, only Bakhtiyaar mentions that Ismail wasn’t helpful around the house even when his hand was useful. Some mentioned that Ismail seemed to miss his wife too much, that’s why he needs to be out of the house.

The next two nominations will come as a surprise to all as Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar’s names are announced by most housemates! Poonam’s rationale is that they have a child and hence one of them needs to be out with the baby while Raju mentions that they have an edge as a couple and that they seem to be plotting against all; while Claudia wants them out as she feels they gossip about her behind her back! However the surprise nomination comes from Rohit who seemed to be their friend.

Will it be Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar or will it be the other way round with one being evicted and the other turning bitter against the spouse?

To lighten the mood, Big Boss decides to announce the task for the week, which surprisingly manages to brighten the outlook.

This time, the task is called ‘Bigg Boss Talkies’. The task includes coming up with a ‘movie’ based on the theme of friendship, betrayal and the victory of good over evil. The excitement is palpable as the housemates get ready with a script and dialogue! They are extremely eager to perform but have to wait until Bigg Boss gives them the go ahead.

Meanwhile, Bakhtiyaar and the girls indulge in some philosophical questions about how strange is this show called Bigg Boss! They also feel that it is one of he best reality shows on Indian television today.

Trishika Tiwari who is currently essaying the role of Vaishali in ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ has also been approached for the same. A part from Trishika, actor Vaishnavi who is currently seen as Bhaskar’s mother on ‘Bhaskar Bharti’ too is tipped to be a part of the show.

Confirming the news Farida Jalal told TellyChakkar, “Yes, I am doing Deeya and Tony Singh’s show but I can’t divulge any details regarding the same as it is too early. It is a very beautiful character and I am looking forward to start shooting for the same. It is a light hearted show, full of comedy and emotions. My character has been beautifully written and is like the spice of the life.”

Talking about the commencement of the shoot, the veteran says, “We were to start the shoot sometime this month but I had requested the producers to push it a little ahead as I had some prior commitments and I will be travelling for the same. I think the shoot will start sometime by the end of the November.”
