Weeks after the music and movie release, Om Shanti Om’s music continues to rock the music charts. The movie’s music has been the bestseller for nine weeks.
The movie released in theatres on 9 November and the music hit stores two months prior to that on 15 September. In its entry week itself OSO occupied the number one position. Twelve weeks later, it has successfully managed to guard the post for nine weeks.
For three weeks in between Om Shanti Om was second to Saawariya. Saawariya music hit the stores on 21 September, a week after OSO. It entered at the second position and till date it has been at the number two position for eight weeks out of 11. Saawariya managed to beat OSO for three weeks in the month of October.
While the first two positions variably shuttled between OSO and Saawariya, the third position has been held by Pritam. From 17 September to 28 October, Bhool Bhulaiyaa music stood at the third position. This was later replaced by Jab We Met from 29 November till date.
Now since five weeks, the first position is guarded by OSO, second by Saawariya and third by Jab We Met. The fourth and fifth positions have seen music from Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Aaja Nachle, Taare Zameen Par and now Welcome.
