Methodical Bollywood actress Tabu has categorically denied being approached for the role of controversial Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen.

“I have no idea about any such film, nor have I been approached with any such offer. This is the second time that these rumors are doing the rounds,” said the actress to an Indian daily.

The coming weeks will see if Tabu gets nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar) for her part in the critically praised flick The Namesake.
