Ravi Chopra’s Baabul is again in the news, but for a musical reason this time. The Bidaai song in Baabul, sung by Richa Sharma is till date the longest track ever recorded. The interesting part is that this 15-minutes long song has no orchestra in it.
Richa says, “”I was briefed only once by Adeshji and I was asked to sing. I sang the song for 15 minutes without any orchestra. Two to three minutes of the song have been retained because of lack of space.”
Richa has a reputation of singing many pensive and off-beat numbers like Beetiyan recently in Umrao Jaan.
