In India, Welcome has surpassed Taare Zameen Par at the Box Office, according to the announcements from the respective studios.

Studio 18, distributors of Welcome, have stated that this comedy flick has grossed Rs 250 million (Rs. 25 crores) over the weekend, while Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par achieved just near to Rs 100 million (Rs 11 crores).

Welcome was released with 900 prints in India and Taare Zameen Par with 385.
