Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom:2 will be releasing with more than 900 prints worldwide this Friday (24 November).
Dhoom:2 has fetched a fabulous price even in a dry area like Bihar. According to market sources, it is said to have fetched Rs 10 million (Rs 1 crore) as minimum guarantee. This is probably, thanks to Krrish, which had done a business of Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crores) in the territory.
The offer has been given by Preetam Jalan, the regular distributor who handles on Yash Raj’s behalf. Even West Bengal is said to be attracting around Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crore). Rajesh Malhotra will be handling the Bombay distribution for Yash Raj.
Owing to differences with Adlabs, the makers were to give the processing work to Prasad Studios. However, after talks and reportedly a heavy discount, Adlabs will finally be processing Dhoom:2.
A spokesperson for Yash Raj Films says, “I am not aware about the dispute about the processing of films. We were always with Adlabs. But this time, we have struck a good bargain and we are releasing Dhoom:2 with 900 plus prints. We are happy that the film is already receiving fabulous reports.”
Dhoom:2, directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu.
