Farhan Akhtar remade the original with Shah Rukh Khan enacting the title role, and a sequel to that is planned, but now news comes that the original might itself be given a sequel. What are we talking about? Well Don, of course!
Nadeem and Nasir Irani, sons of the original producer Nariman Irani, are toying with the idea of their own sequel… titled The Return Of The King… and starring the original actor Amitabh Bachchan. A source says, “Farhan Akhtar announced the sequel to Don as soon as his film released but the status of the project is unknown. Besides Farhan does not own the rights to make the sequel, so how can he start on the project? He has to acquire the rights from the Iranis. And why would they part with the rights when they are planning their own sequel?”
Even Amitabh Bachchan is keen in doing The Return Of The King. Sources close to the legend say “He has met the Irani brothers and there are talks on for the sequel. They are looking for a good director. Negotiations are on with an ad filmmaker. They want to make a slick film with lots of special effects.”

Definitely with Big B not with Joker Khan.He is the Sahenshah of Bollywood.
With SRK ofcourse, Big B would be such a bore to watch, its an action movie, why see a old man playing the DON….does not make sense at all.
If Bachalan Bachan do Don sequel it will be like Ramu’s AAg, or even more downer.
DON belongs to Amitabh. He is the orginal DON.

Watching Shahrukh Khan wold be much better. I loved him in Don and I’ve been waiting to watch him in Don 2 since I watched him in the first. There was such a surprise twist in the end. I loved it!
What kind of action can Amitabh do now at such an old age. He got to make Sarkar and that was much better suited for his age and he did an awesome job in it, but for a movie like Don where they want to use a lot of special effects and stuff they should just leave that for Shahrukh Khan.

It all depends on what the story of the sequel is going to be. If there is going to be a lot of action, then AB is just too old and I would choose SRK, but if the Don is just going to pull the strings then it would have to be AB. There is no argument that AB is all around a much better actor than SRK, but SRK is also very good. Maybe in the future he may become a legend like AB, but there will never be anyone bigger or better than him. It is important that AB now only plays roles suited to his age. Just look at his performance in Bhaagban, Baabul and Mohabatein, a true master class in acting.
