Mandira Bedi plays the title role of Meera in Meerabai Not Out. The film insists on a selfless relation between the game of cricket and Indians. Cricket is a passion in this part of the world, and one person who lives this passion day and night is Meera Achrekar.
Meera is a mathematics teacher by profession and loves the game of cricket and Anil Kumble to the core. She was introduced to the game by her brother Manoj, who played at the Ranji level.
Over time, Mahesh has turned into a pessimist of cricket and cribs at the very mention of the game. His frustration is as a result of the success that he could not achieve during his playing days.
Single Meera mingles with Dr Arjun (Eijaz Khan), a heart specialist by profession. Slowly, she starts taking interest in her personal self than cricket. Once bitten cannot be forgotten goes well with Meera over here, as she tells Arjun that she is married to cricket!
Like any Bollywood masala film, this one too has a twist in the tale. Arjun father, aka Dr Awasthi is against Meera marrying his son as he is flabbergasted of her cricket fanatics. Moreover, he had once seen her yelling and screaming on the streets with her face painted.
Will this love story rise above cricket?
