EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Made under the banners of E Niwas Productions, Red Chillies Entertainment and Sahara One Motion Pictures, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves has been directed by E Niwas and marks the acting debut of Nikhil Dwivedi on the silverscreen.
Anthony Gonsalves dreams of becoming an actor. As of now, he serves in Jimmy’s pub as a bartender, located in Mumbai. Anthony is solely responsible for the hassle free business in the pub while the bosses Sikander, Maqsood and Riyaaz look after their bhaigiri business.
Sikander, who also happens to be Anthony’s caretaker, keeps him away from the illegal business run by his gang. Anthony finds a ray of hope in a old cameraman who motivates Anthony and gives him the links to make it big in the starry world of cinema.
Coming to the gang, Murtuza Seth (Anupam Kher) is its leader while Riyaaz is a silent guy with killer instincts, Maqsood is argumentative and short tempered and Sikander is a person who is very much in control of himself.
Love blossoms at the very first sight when Anthony meets Riya Peraira (Amrita Arora) at the cemetery. Co-incidentally, Riya is an assistant director in the film industry.
One day, Anthony hears the conversation between Riyaaz and Maqsood where Riyaaz prompts Maqsood to go against Sikander. Anthony leaves for his audition with the conversation in his mind and enacts his scene well as the film is based on Julius Ceasar.
Anthony’s happiness see no bounds when he gets selected for the film. He reaches Sikander’s house where he becomes the sole witness of Sikander’s murder by his gang.
Now, the entire film focuses on Anthony as he hides himself from the aghast minds of Riyaaz and Maqsood. Will he manage to rise above all odds to act in his debut film? Will Anthony pay back as a friend of Sikander?
The mystery is bound to get better..
