In Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam Tanaaz Lal plays the character of a Haryanawi girl.

The role required Tanaaz to get her basics right in Haryanwi and that’s when Mallika Sherawat dropped her inhibitions and volunteered to battle out the woes of Tanaaz.

Mallika taught Tanaaz the pronunciation and phonetic intonations of the language. She also taught her new words, some of them dirty ones, to broaden Tanaaz’s vocabulary.
