We mentioned last week how Kajol goofed up with a silly remark at an AIDS event… (she basically compared AIDS to a common cold)… well now the actress has given a statement explaining what she said.
Here is Kajol’s explanation: “I wanted to reach out and convey my compassion and hope for patients. What I actually meant was that major companies are conducting trials on drugs that may stop the virus’ advancement. In India, the second phase of retro-viral therapy is likely to be introduced early next year. That will bring a lot of hope to patients.”
Sounds like one has researched… doesn’t it!

Not good enough! She’s clearly rying to cover her tracks and I am a huge kajol fan but there is no excuse for her statement. She was not talking about viruses!!! It shows clear ignorance. It’s fine if you don’t know what aids is but don’t turn up to an aids event and then show ignorance, thats just not acceptable.
We cannot say that it was her ignorance!!
Everyone has there own point of views about certian things, & its their right to express it in public. Its upon us how we understand the things. She never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings. She obviously meant that their is no need to create such a hype about the disease. At initial stages it is curable. So why giving so much sympathy to the patients which will obviously make them feel more hopeless than they are now.
All I can say is that a person, when comments on anything, only he/she knows the actual meaning of that. Others may just guess, but they cannot blame anyone for this. Its upon us how we understand the things, our point of views about those things & this only shows out maturity!!
