Food poisoning has been blamed after a whole host of Televisions actors were taken ill.
At a social gathering for the cast and crew of Zee TV’s two most prominent shows (Ghar Ki Lakshmi… Betiyaan and Maayka Saath Jeevan Bhar Ka), actors Shilpa Shinde, Kartik Sabharwal, Vineet Raina, Tanushree Kaushal, Nupur Alankar, Aleeza, Smriti Mohan, Jasveer Kaur and production members Mandar Oak, Deepak Panth, Pooja and Vivek Jain all started feeling uneasy.
A source says, “There was total chaos on the sets of ‘Betiyaan’ the next day. Aleeza and Smriti were suffering from severe stomach ache. Smriti almost passed out and was taken to a hospital. Tanushree too was suffering from dysentery . The doctors suspected food poisoning.” The sets of Maayka saw actress Shilpa Shinde fall unconscious.
A puja is being held so that shooting can resume asap.
