Pritish Nandy Communications have axed Soha Ali Khan from a modern-day interpretation of Devdas.
Soha was supposed to play Chandramukhi but the production house are not comfortable about the actress pulling the pivotal role off. It has been said that the moder-day Chandramukhi will not be Indian, and might be a western woman.
The film, which is to be directed by Sudhir Mishra, will have no other changes in the cast but a replacement for Soha is being hunted. Shiney Ajuha will play Devdas while Lara Dutta will be Paro.
