Did ya know?
For any actor, a movie coming up for release is akin to result time for a student. Anxiety is in the air and one obviously wants to live up to expectations. But for actor Soha Ali Khan, whose film ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ is due to release, there is no such thing as parental pressure. While her mother – veteran actor Sharmila Tagore – is only too happy for her, father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi is not at all into movies.
In fact, according to Soha, the former cricketer stays away from movies – so much so that he hasn’t watched any of hers or son Saif’s films till date!
“Yes, it’s true that he doesn’t really watch films, including those starring Saif and me. Movies are almost never discussed when I’m with him but it’s actually a good thing, if you ask me. And that’s because I get to completely switch myself off movies when I’m with him.”
That’s not say that this father-daughter duo doesn’t have anything thing in common. “Dad and I are avid readers; we love to read – our tastes are also quite similar though not exactly the same. So there’s always plenty to talk about,” she reveals. Apart from this, she also looks forward to enjoying a good match of tennis with him. “I’m quite a sporty person; so is Saif. So as and when we get the time, we head to our town Pataudi and all of us bond over a good session of racquet sports,” she says, adding that she finds it very ‘refreshing’.
