Ranbir and Kareena to star together in big flick
Published by  Webmaster  at 08:18:17 pm on November 26, 2007

Last week we brought you news about two movies being produced under the RK banner, one to star Kareena Kapoor and be directed by her father Randhir Kapoor, while the other would involve Ranbir Kapoor and be directed by a third party. Well, the news now is that only ONE movie is being planned… read on more.

This alone production will be directed by Randhir Kapoor, have a script written by Ranbr Kapoor, and star both (and I emphasise BOTH) Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

An inside revealed, “It’s not confirmed whether they will play brother-sister or friends but yes.. they’re quite upbeat about the project.” Another source said, “The Kapoor scions won’t be paired opposite each other because they’re blood related.”

There had been anomosity between Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor’s families, but this has now been solved, and both sets of Kapoors all excited about working together.

What are your thoughts on this new flick… how would you like to see Ranbir and Kareena on-screen… as brother and sister or just friends? What kind of movie should the Kapoor family make… a romantic or an action flick? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

  3. they should play brother and sister as they r real cousins. Beside that kareena has been in the industry for atleast 8 yrs almost so Ranbir is younger than her in real life too and even carreer wise. I don’t think that they should work together as hero heroines. May be another good choice will be to play only friends who are not in a love relationship. kareena looks way older than Ranbir kapoor. The couple will look weird. I blv Ranbir should be mature enough to play hero opposite younger heroines than him. He should not star opposite heroines who have debuted in the fiulms for the last abt 3 yrs or prior beside amrita rao looks younger and innocent. He should work with Deepika padukone, Sana Panscholi, Sonam Kapoor, and many other youngsters instead of older heroines otherwise he’ll be out soon from the industry. watch out Ranbir it could be also a trick of industry to take him opposite older women make him throw out of the race before he gets in competition. So Be Mature Enough and Watch Out for you Carreer (Heroines).

  7. Wow, i didnt think that the Kapoors would ever get over their family feud. And i always thought it was a shame becasue they would make a dynamic acting family if they made great movies together. I think Ranbir n Kareena should star as brother n sister, they cant be lovers thats gross seeing as they are cousins. I hope they go on with the movie

  9. It is funny, how people never complain when old actors (to name a few, Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachan) act with new heroines half their age, but it is a major problem when a new male actor acts with a older female co-star. People’ s perceptions are quite contorted.
