As expected Krrish has begun winning awards, by raking in two awards – Best Film and Best Actor, at the Anandlok Awards in Kolkata.
The awards ceremony will be staged on 18th November in Kolkata and the film’s director Rakesh Roshan will attend to collect the gongs. “I am feeling great that my film Krrish has bagged two prestigious Anandlok Awards – Best Film of the year and my son Hrithik bagging the Best Actor of the year. I am going to Kolkata to receive both this awards because Hrithik is shooting in Jaipur for Ashutosh Gowrikar’s Jodha-Akbar. There were many big films and names for the nominations for both the awards,” he says.
Rs 500 million were spent on making Krrish, but that amount of record money was made up in the first week, as Krrish accumulated Rs 690 million. The film has gone on to do business of aboce Rs 1.5 billion.
The film also starred Rekha, Priyanka Chopra and Naseeruddin Shah.

hrithik rocks in krrish. the father son duo always work and i think they both deserve many awards for their input for such movies. congrat to roshan family.
srk cant compete with amitabh for don role. amitabh’s movie don is much better than srk don. the songs are all same from the first one. i didnt expect such things from farhan akhtar. hope it will be better for him to be an actor next time.
krrish was good film but not better than lrm and rdb.also did hrithik did any acting in film.he was always jumping around.for me there are two contenders for best actor aamir and sanjay dutt

none of the othr films relesed in 2006 had such innovativeness as Krrish had, though few of them were good, be it the box-office, the stunts, the 1st successful sequel to hindi cinema- KRRISH N HRITHIK have all d reasons to sweep away all the awards this year. Hrithik n Rakesh Roshan hav done it time n again n 4 sure will continue doin so.

hrithik roshan is def the best actor and im sure that he will keep winning that award but im not sure if krrish will keep winning best movie. Dhoom 2 was really good so there might b some competition from that. either way hrithik wins so im happy

Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan are the best actors of Bollywood. They are the only two contenders, and no one is capable for winning the awards except these two (Aamir and Hrithik). Undoubtedly Krrish is the best film, but I think Aamir Khan is the best actor this year.
