With not much luck at the box office, Amisha Patel has other agendas on her mind. What looks to be a good cause effort from the actress, Amisha has recently joined an NGO called PlanetRead which focusses on spreading literacy among the rural population with the use of film songs, especially for young children deprived of basic education.
The concept has a twist to it where the film songs are shown on the screen and the lyrics appear at the bottom as karoke. The concept was introduced to Amisha by Scott Norton from University of Boston a year back.
Amisha Patel found the concept a good way to teach the young children through such a medium. She believes that being a film personality, her popular numbers may help the NGO’s efforts for the good cause. Good work Amisha, keep it up!
