Mumbai, November 15, 2007: Love is in the air this November. Sony Entertainment Television and Balaji Telefilms join in the celebration of love with their new big ticket show Kuchh is tara beginning this November 26 Monday to Thursday at 9:00 pm. Breaking away from all norms this newage love story takes its viewers through the journey of a teenage middle class girl who awaits her prince charming. It’s every girl’s dream… an accidental meeting with destiny (her prince charming), love at first sight, blossoming romance… but what happens when the love story is spiked by the ‘hate guru’,… (a cynic who reacts instantly at the very mention of love, romance & marriage).
Life for Kanya has never been so good…
Protagonist Kanya (played by Dimple Jhangiani) hails from a simple middle class family and lives with her doting father, two sisters and a brother. She is the typical girl-next-door who harbours dreams of seeing her prince charming riding on a horse and sweeping her off her feet into a world of dreams, where true love prevails…
As Kanya’s story unfolds, she meets her prince charming at the most unexpected time… Aayan is the perfect prince charming – young, dashing and rich… With each passing day the love between them grows and finally reaches its peak only for the ‘hate guru’ – Ranbir (Aayan’s uncle—played by Akashdeep Saighal) who enters their lives and shoots down cupid’s arrow to create a rift between them…
From hereon begins the journey of Kanya who is in love. Between the two men and a series of extra ordinary events, Kanya’s life and love unfolds. This misty November Sony Entertainment Television brings back romance that most women long for. Join Kanya and take off on her flight to fantasy where love, romance, dreams never end… Kuchh is tara.

It’s a modern day love story that will stand out among the daily saas bahu sagas. This show is bound to ignite the magic of love and romance on television once again.”
Speaking about the concept, Ektaa Kapoor, Creative Director, Balaji Telefilms commented, “I have put my heart into this show and Kuchh is tara will counted in some of the best shows I have made. It is a turning point in my career and is completely different from all my work till date. With this show I have broken all norms of daily soaps. There is no melodrama, no extended family and not too many twists. It centers around a happy family, lots of light moments, love and sweet romance.”
The star cast of Kuchh is tara is Aakashdeep Saighal, Sudha Chandran, Jayanti Bhatia, Rajendra Gupta, Vishal Singh and Dimple Jhangiani in the lead roles. The soap is produced by Balaji Telefilms, and is directed by Ravindra Gautam.

i like the show…but i hate kanya’s voice…i think ekta should stick to her real voice and not the someone else’s. It looks really fake and it makes it look like kanya doesn’t know how to act. I think her really voice suits her way more, which they used in one episode. So please do her real voice, it looks more real.
the story of this serial is exactly like kya hoga nimmo ka?….even most of the incidents are the same. But the story line is exactly the same.
It is one of the best serials so far in sony tv, 30mins of laugher every day, Ekta keep up the good work and keep it hilarious, don’t make it serious and tragedy kind like others, I love Ranbirs Role, he’s super cool …

Kuch Is Tara is lovely. I have never missed any part of it. Ranbir is simply fantastic and ofcourse Kanya is doing well. But, why was Sudhachandran replaced? We love sudha’s action. Shanta is a bit over, but thats ok. I watch serial mainly for “RANBIR…”..
