Nobody expected it in their wildest dreams. No one wanted to believe that Prachee Desai was voted out of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars – the show where she was in fact expected to go to the finals. In an unexpected turn of events, Prachee, fell victim to the vagaries of public voting.
She is the young 18 year old, immensely popular bahu of Kasamh Se. Jhalak gave her a platform to be her age, dance and for once, be known by her real name. The show gave her back her identity. Despite her long working hours she was the most enthusiastic amongst all the contestants to go to rehearsals and put her best foot forward. Her journey on Jhalak went from a complete non-dancer to one of tremendous grace and surprising performances week after week. She was one the judges could foresee going to the top and even perhaps winning the competition. But that was not to be. “I told Deepak in the morning that it could be our turn today. But when it was actually announced it took me a few minutes to come to terms,” said a smiling Prachee who did not want to cry in front of her mother who was already in tears. “It has yet to sink in. I think I’ll go home and be hit by the fact that I am out. More than me I am more upset for Deepak.” Her choreographer, Deepak did not hide his disappointment. “I did not think it would be us today. It is my dream to win one such dance contest and for the third time I have lost the opportunity. But I am sure to comeback next Jhalak and fulfill it!”
Her fellow contestants were in a state of shock. After Tapur and Sudha Chandran this has been a major upset. Mir Ranjan Negi said “It is the first time I cried for an ousted contestant.” The judges too were disappointed by the results. Jeetendra sat alone saying, “I am so disappointed, I am wondering at this rate who is going to be left on the show!” Shiamak Davar who was not in the studios but on stage for his show I Believe, said, “I am shocked. She was one of the best dancers who had tremendous growth on the show and now she has gone.”
Prachee with her ever-smiling face has gone. A lot of spunk will be missing on the show. But the competition just got tougher. Now the contestants will be tested further for their skills when they have two performances to show their progress!
Next week there’s more dance, music, fun, and John and Bipasha. Guess who Bipasha came specially to watch in person?
Do not miss Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars – on Friday 16 th November 2007 at 9 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

it was a shocking elimination. mika should have been eliminated. no one likes mika, i think he is voting for himself. he must be spending loads of money in voting for himself. get a life mika.
i was seriously in tears. this is absolutely not fair. i wish there was a way that we could vote her back in.
