This week witnessed three major releases viz — Rajshri’s Vivah, Subhash Ghai’s Apna Sapna Money Money and Plus Entertainments’ Deadline – Sirf 24 Ghante to average response.

All the three films are trying to cash in on the multiplex culture. Vivah managed to score over the other films. The film has been released with lesser than 200 prints all over. In overseas, Dubai saw a maximum of nine prints released.

Vivah collected Rs. 65 – 70 per cent on the opening day in Mumbai. The last show collections were better than the first and second shows. In Premiere cinema (Parel) with a seating capacity of 465, the film managed to collect Rs. 53,277 from 3 shows against the capacity of Rs. 72,933 (73%) while in Fame Nakshatra it collected Rs. 56,800 against the capacity of Rs. 85,737 in its 3 shows (67%). Cinemax Growel in Kandivali collected around Rs. 55,000 against the capacity of Rs. 75,000.

The opening of Apna Sapna Money Money was around 40 to 50 percent in Mumbai. The film carries mixed reports and hopes to bounce back soon by word of mouth .In Mumbai, the film opened with around 100 prints, 12 UFOs and 6 DLP prints managed to clinch . The other film racing toward Silver Jubilee is Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish. The film is running at Naaz (matinee). Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna will celebrate 100 days next week at Imperial Cinema (matinees) in Mumbai and other circuits.

Dor, Woh Lamhe and Khosla Ka Ghosla are celebrating their 50 days run with one print in Mumbai and others circuits.
