Aamir Khan and acclaimed director Shekhar Kapoor are about to work together, 15 years after they first agreed upon.
Shekhar Kapoor has been in talks with Ronnie Screwvala of UTV Motion Pictures to re-shoot his 1992 shelved project Time Machine. The film did begin shooting, with Aamir Khan and Rekha in the lead, but the shoot was cancelled very early on and the film was put on the shelf.
If Aamir Khan agrees to star in the film, then production will commence middle of next year. However, Rekha will not be featured this time around, as she is deemed to be too old, and another actress is being looked for. It is believed that Vidya Balan could star.
I remember seeing rushes of this film in Movie Magazine many years ago. I believe that Rekha was to be cast opposite Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan was cast opposite Raveena Tandon.
On the topic of delayed films, whatever happened to Anil Kapoor’s Bus Conductor movie? I think the director was Satish Kaushik or David Dhawan?

It was stalled half way thru shooting,it had rekha as his mum, naseeruddin as his father, raveena as his heroine,so I dont see why rekha cant continue in her role, also RGV is thinking of making time machine with the bachchan trio next year, so might be a battle to the finish line
