After being hailed as the man with great comic timing, Ritesh Deshmukh is no longer interested in the laugh riots. But, someone tell him he’s better off with comedy than action. The actor sees himself being type-casted for such roles. But, the comedian (I mean actor) has a non-comic film titled Cash, lined up for release. It is an action thriller with Ritesh in a serious role for a change.
Now, does that make Ritesh happy? The actor says, “Since I started, my character has always been that of a comedian and people always ask me why another comedy”. Exactly, you can always refuse. Ritesh goes on to add, “The fact is that I don’t get to choose my roles (then who does?), I just take whatever comes my way.”
But, Ritesh, as i said earlier you are better off with comedy than thrillers. Get that?
