Ashutosh Gowarikar has dared to do what no other director has done before, drop A R Rahman.
The master musician was gobsmacked when Oscar nominee Ashutosh Gowarikar informed him that one of his renditions will not be in the final cut of Jodhaa Akbar.
A R Rahman was clearly not happy about this unusual step, but he need not worry, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has stepped in to save the day. She is willing to use the dropped ‘qawwali’ for her next movie.
It has been reported that this particular ‘qawwali’ was picturised in extravagant style and a lot of money was spent on it’s shoot. But Ashutosh is not happy with the final cut time of the flick and has therefore cut it.
What are your thoughts on this? Should a piece by a world renowned musician be dropped like this? Leave your feedback in the comments section below.

The headline says that A R Rahman is dropped from the film, while the news is just about dropping a song from the film.
This article highlights the lack of ethics in todays journalism. Such a pathetic state of affairs. How sad!
