The ever-controversial pop icon Elton John seems to be turning into a gay-lawyer for sure! Now, this time at the receiving end was religion. Elton in a recent interview accused religion of showing discrimination against the gay community across the globe.
” I think religion has always tried to turn hatred toward gay people”, Elton said.
In the interview given to Observer newspaper’s Music Monthly magazine Elton talks of the kind of bias suffered by gays in various corners of the world, irrespective of their religious backgrounds. “Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays. But there are some people i know who are gay and love their religion”, he said.
