EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Aaja Nachle (Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan) Rating: 7/10
The title track of Aaja Nachle provides a perfect platform for the much awaited return of Madhuri Dixit on the dance stage. The song carries the spunk which will be ignited by the visuals of Madhuri ‘thirk’ing on it. Likewise, Sunidhi Chauhan husky rendition has degraded the overall listening experience of the track. Alka Yagnik would have been a better choice behind the mike. On the whole, Aaja Nachle is raw and engaging.
Dance With Me (Singer: Sonia Saigal) Rating: 4/10
Surprisingly, ‘Dance With Me’ is an out and out English track. Written by Asif Ali Beg and rendered by new singer Sonia Saigal, the song is orchestrated in a discotheque mood, overheard in the 80s. On the whole, it stands out as a number which should be ignored as the music is far less than amusing.
Is Pal (Singer: Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal) Rating: 8/10
Beautifully struck vocal chemistry between Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam creates a magical ‘Is Pal’. The song is perfectly set to become one of the most sought after romantic tracks of the year 2007. Likewise, the song looses its impact slightly in the verses till the words ‘Is Pal Main Hoon’ get you back to a soft and melodious atmosphere.
Ishq Hua (Singer: Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal) Rating: 6/10
Ishq Hua is just about average in the music and rendition, though the lyrics penned by Jaideep Sahni raises the level of the track by the impeccable use of poetic words. The song is sweetly synchronized with the lyrics and will hold on to entertain you for a few hearings.
