Bollywood starlet Rani Mukherjee has whipped Hollywood Queen Nicole Kidman at the UK Box Office.
Rani’s superb performance as a high class prostitute in Laga Chunari Mein Daag outclassed the bleak portrayal of a sleepless Nicole Kidman. Nicole’s horror remake The Invasion only just made the Top 10 at number 10, while Rani’s Yash Raj release smashed into the charts as the second highest new entry at number 8.
It raked in $501,714. Showing on 45 screens, it’s per screen average was $11,149… the third highest per screen average of the weekend.
