This friday, Vivah, ASMM opened to a good audience response. Unlike, last week’s average creep of Umrao Jaan, the two movies are doing fairly well in the metros as well as small cities. Vivah is of Suraj Barjataya’s Rajshri productions and ASMM (Apna Sapna Money Money) is of Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts.
Vivah : Despite moderate promotion of the movie and uneven public response towards the music, Vivah witnessed housefull openings in many states in Western and central India. In Mumbai, delhi, Chennai the movie saw a mild response ( 35%). Most of the small towns in Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan have given a positive response to the movie.
ASMM : The Mukta Arts production is proving to be a crowd puller. Most of the youth are getting into the theatres. The comic timing is bringing in both the classes n the masses in the theatre. Ritesh deshmukh proves to be the USP of the movie with his extra-ordinary performance in this flick.
Deadline – Sirf 24 Ghante : The movie accused of being inspired by a hollywood flick witnessed poor audience on the first 2 days. The condition may improve during the weekend for this Konkona Sen and Irfan Khan starrer.
Umrao Jaan : Touches 1 crore mark this week in Mumbai. 61K’s in Delhi. The possibilities of the movie to recover from first week’s loss seems to be bright.

Vivah is a touching movie. In this present times of exposure this is a clean movie and nobdby but amrita and shahid could look so very pure and innocent , none of this ranis adn preities or mallikas can look so inniocent as amrita. Hats off to sooraj bharjatya for making this movie with traditional values . vivah deserves appreciation not criticism that it is outdated. It showsthe commitment and purioty.
VIVAH was a nice movie.I was impressed by the simplicity and the sincerity in the characters.I agree that no other heroine would have looked so honest.rani’s and others do not have that purity and innocence on their face. Sneha ullal has that innocenceAmrita rao and shahid make a very nice made for each other pair.
Yes vivah is a very good film in this time of skin exposure.In times of KANK and woh lamhe, this vivah comes as a breath of fresh air. There is so much romance in simplicity. It is definetly going to be a super hit. The fast paced movies with no depth are no match to this good film of hearts. Good, keep it up Sooraj Bharjatya.Amrita and Shahid make a beautiful pair.
