Pardes Monday, November 13th, 5pm EST

Genre: Romance/Drama
Pardes is the story of a Westernized Non-Resident Indians living in North America and their struggle to reestablish their roots. Kishori Lal (Amrish Puri) is a successful businessman in the US who longs for his motherland, India. He brings his son Rajiv (Apoorva Agnihotri) to India to find an Indian wife who can instill the Indian values back into his son’s life. He soon finds Ganga (Mahima Chaudhry) and sends Rajiv along with his foster son, Arjun (Shahrukh Khan) to India to finalize the marriage. While in India, it is up to Arjun to teach Rajiv how to accept the Indian values and Ganga how to accept the American ones to make the union a successful one.

Upon arrival, Sunder finds that his friend betrayed him and he is now penniless and alone in Bombay. He eventually wanders into a graveyard where he runs into Marco aka Amar Kumar (Naseerudin Shah). Marco asks if Sunder will help apprehend some killers, to which Sunder agrees. It’s only later that Sunder realizes the man he agreed to help has been dead for 20 years…
