The latest industry buzz is that STAR TV has acquired the rights to this season’s huge blockbuster ‘Don’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.
The UTV produced film released during the Diwali/Eid period and has done incredibly well at the UK box office.
Previously STAR TV has shown a number of UTV movies including ‘Bluffmaster’ and ‘Taxi No.9211′. In months to come, STAR will also be showing UTV’s other movies like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Chup Chup Ke’.
STAR is currently intensifying its fight for movies as it competes with the likes of ZEE Cinema and Sony’s MAX channel. STAR will be launching its 24 round the clock movies service STAR Gold in the UK on Monday 20th November.
