Through her collection Gayatri has tried to support this very important social message through the use of silhouettes, prints and embellishments. In keeping with her theme this year, the entire collection is in 100% natural fibers of cotton and silk and the use of blended fabrics were also not considered. The social message will not only be the highlight for the fashion week, but is being taken up at other levels as well and will be a continued affort.

Supporting the cause and enjoying the afternoon at Tetsuma, were a number of society fashioniestas from south Mumbai. Early arrivals included Haseena Jethmalani, and Esther Daswani . Also spotted were Arti and Kailash Surendranath, a glowing Parizaad Kolah Marshall, designer James Ferreira who came in with a friend and was seen enjoying the sumptious Japanese fare along with Apnavi Thakkar. other arrivals included Palak Seth, Madhu Shah, Aarti Murjani, Celina Wadia and Akanksha Nanda.
