Remember the scene where Devdas lies outside his love’s palace saying the last words of his life, “Paro, Paro!” Some one hears them and passes the message in the palace that some one from Paro’s village has come. Paro runs towards her Devdas. Meanwhile, Paro’s husband instructs the gates to be closed. Paro fails to reach her love. Devdas dies.
Now let’s see the new twist in the tale.
Paro just manages to cross the gate before it is closed. Devdas gets rejuvenated. They both start a new life altogether. Now, Paro’s husband gets depressed and reverts to drinking. He eventually dies with “Paro, Paro!” as his last words.
