EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Hello is an adaption of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘One Night @ the Call Centre’. The film describes the events that take place in a call centre.
Interestingly, Salman Khan plays the writer Chetan Bhagat and Katrina Kaif plays a goddess in the film. Katrina promises Salman a story on the condition that he will pen the story in the form of a book.
The story is narrated through the lines of thoughts of Shyam (Sharman Joshi) who is lost amidst the darkness of a lost love, lost ambitions, lost family affection and pressure to perform at the call centre.
Subhash Bakshi (Dilip Tahil) is the call centre head who takes away the credit of the project done by the co-workers of the call centre. He uses it as a platform to get a call from Boston but eventually he pays for his own price of womanizing.
Varun Malhotra aka Vroom (Sohail Khan) is obsessed with sleep, fast life and girls. He is in awe of Esha Singh (Isha Koppikar), also a call centre agent. Esha aspires to become popular by becoming a model. Eventually, she loses her self-esteem by sleeping with an glamour world agent who promises her work.
Priyanka Kapoor (Gul Panag) juggles her time between the call centre and managing her mother at home.
Radhika Jha (Amrita Arora) is a housewife who is the sweet innocent girl looking for ways to manage her ever-targeting mother-in-law and grandfather.
Lastly, there is Retd. Maj. V. P. Chauhan aka Military Uncle (Sharat Saxena) who is not allowed to speak to his grandchild. For him life is dull and everyday is a pain.
The film is slated to release in January 2008.
