Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra has signed Abhishek Bachchan for the lead role in his upcoming project Dilli 6.
Infact, Abhishek happened to be the first choice for the film but Rakeysh Mehra dropped the idea of casting him in the film due to unknown reasons.
Reportedly, the Rang De Basanti director approached stars like Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Siddarth and Ranbir Kapoor for the role but eventually it was Abhishek who accepted the role gracefully.
