Dil Dosti Etc is a noisy parody of social happenings like love, politics, sexual parody etc. The film fails to deal with the hard core reality and explores its character’s mentality in an immature way.
Dil Dosti Etc, here the ‘etc’ goes into exploring various issues which are left into the darkness of a poor script. The film fails at the root level and though the story sounds unique, the interconnections lack logic.
Sanjay Mishra (Shreyas Talpade) is a Bihari babua who shares his hostel room with a rich cosmopolitan dude Apurv (Imaad Shah). The film moves a basic plot of contrasting the modern and free city boy with the conservative village lad.
Sanjay is a determined and focused student. He is also an active leader in student politics. On the other hand, Apurv is fickle minded and keeps changing his decisions. He is flirtious and finds pleasure in mingling with girls.
Vaishali (Smriti Mishra) is a prostitute who backlashes everyone with her hard hitting one liners. She claims to be physically intimated to her customers but not emotionally. The other two females in the film are Prerna and Kintu.
Prerna (Nikita Anand) is a rich and ambitious babe of Delhi. She aspires to become an international model. Match error, she falls in love with the Bihari boy Sanjay. Kintu (Ishitta Sharma) is a simple Delhite who faces a tough time from Apurv.
