Mumbai, September 26th, 2007: India’s royal heritage, culture and antiquity, and Vogue fashion – forward modernity asserted the entry of the Indian edition of the global fashion and style bible. Hosted at the magnificent the Taj Umaid Bhavan Palace over the weekend, the Vogue India launch event was graced by the most famous and adored faces from fashion, society and the Bollywood fraternity. Looking stunning in beautiful ensembles each celebrity adorned their fashionable best.
Vogue India’s privileged guests were flown into Jodhpur from Mumbai & Delhi on private Kingfisher charters. Providing the ultimate Vogue experience guests were pampered from the time of take off to the land of mystique and heritage unveiling Vogue’s love affair with India!
The time to unveil the finest elements of Indian & international expertise drew close as a lavish red carpet was laid out for a star studded evening. Adding glamour and glitterati were Priety Zinta and Ness Wadia, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Milind Soman, Arjun Rampal, Rahul Khanna, Tarun Tahiliani, Dino Morea, Farah Khan with her husband DJ Aqueel, Manish Malhotra, Rocky S amongst many other radiant celebrities.

Paying tribute to the best of Indian and international fashion, the Vogue India launch event showcases exquisite elements put together by a team of global experts.”
Posing for the shutterbugs was Preity Zinta looking resplendent in a Surily Goel pink gown and silver belt locked around her waist. Said Preity, “I am locked in fashion with the bible’s arrival”.
Bipasha Basu opted for a shimmering green and white cocktail dress from Gauri and Nainika Karan keeping her hair soft and simple. Said Bipasha, “I’m very excited to be a part of the Vogue India cover. Vogue is the ultimate style and fashion bible. From a very young age, we’ve always looked up to Vogue for the latest fashion tips. In fact, my first assignment was for Spanish Vogue.”
