To see SRK appearing on the venue of Jo’burg stadium on the day of the 20-20 final between India and Pakistan, wearing an Om Shanti Om T-shirt was disappointing. It looked like a very selfish and un-classy act of self-promotion.
Knowing that the whole nation will be glued to their television sets, he (SRK) took full opportunity to sell his film there. And giving away the first copy of OSO to the players is a smart move to promote his film and making people believe what a generous man the superstar is.
While doing this, he wants the nation to believe that he came to support the Indian team. Most of the time our innocent people fall in such traps of the extremely shrewd businessmen-cum-stars and almost idol-worship them and even the get deceived. He (SRK) was only promoting his film there. That is PRK. King of PR.
Being classy is not about your ponytails or expensive clothes or a knack to hardsell yourself to an already vulnerable and star-struck nation, but to stay humble and refrain from such acts of manipulating situations and taking undue advantage of the trust people put in you.
It also means not being a hardcore opportunist in going for a so-called cricketing event with your family and then doing it with that spirit and integrity and enjoying the game as a true fan.
As our nation is progressing, I hope people on top will learn to be more chilled out and relaxed and shutter down their shops once in a while and enjoy the success sincerely that our nation as a team is achieving.

He’s wearing a black coat over his T-shirt, you can’t even see it. If he was promoting i’m sure he would have shown the t-shirt to the whole world. He seemed truly pumped up during the match, so stop throwing out useless comments which are of not true.
I am suggesting to the management of radiosargam that pls stop writing these types of story… you could not make our mind change for King Khan through this… we know what shahrukh khan is and believe he could never do so.. can’t one superstar cannot cheer for his country??? you always try to find some reasons and make that big issue.. we the reader do not expect this… pls dont try to do this ever..we love him very much and we will be.. I’m not a SRK fan but do admire his acting skills and appreciate that he’s made it on his own without any initial support like these star kids get . But there are always ethics and etiquetes(spel?) in every field of life . Though there is nothing wrong in promoting oneself however pretending that you are there to support and encourage your team nwhen your wholesole motive is to get yr next movie some hype is a little distasteful. Being King Khan he shouldnt be insecure which I feel he has always been. Sorry if I’ve hurt any fans of his but each to their own and thats my own humble opinion .

whats wrong to promote your own film? He is the producer of one of the biggest movie of 2007. he has invested lot of money in the movie, so he needs to promote the movie anyhow. i dont see anything wrong. didnt you see it last year when he went out of his way to promote Don, which was not even produced by his company, and salman didnt promote Jaan e mann, and that movie had no takers. SRK knows how to promote a film very well.

I wish people and media leave king khan alone. I personally dont see anything wrong with promoting hhis film. I am not a SRK fan but i think he is a very nice down to earthh guy. Besides i and most of the writers will agree thhat SRK does not need to promote his films. The distrubuters bank on hhis name not the story of the film.
