Good actors are crushed in the bad light of a poor storyline. Slowly though, but Abhay Deol is emerging as an acting revelation. Abhay has a carved a niche for himself in the film industry by working with new directors and original concepts. Some his previous performances in films like ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Aahista Aahista’, ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ have proved the same.
The moviebuffs will witness Vinay Pathak (Bheja Fry and Khosla Ka Ghosla fame) in an interesting role of a corrupt cop. The audiences are bound to love his way of portraying the character with the added touch of sarcasm and humour.
Gul Panag, Raima Sen are wasted in this film. Sarika is now there, and the very next moment she is gone. A sheer waste of fine actors!
Don’t take a chance by watching this film, as it will leave stressed and bury your happiness (atleast six feet under).

Well the review for Manorama is a bit out of odds perhaps author was really not in a mood to watch a thriller which again might not be his favorite genere of movies. As a thriller movie buff i enjoyed Manorama 6 feet under. There was a suspense till the end. Story line which dear author finds childish was pretty natural and original. Direction was non dramatic (not bollywoodish overdramatization)more earthy perhaps taken out of hindi novels. I do agree Sarika was underused as a an actor and has very limited screen time, which actually lends the hopelessness to the Abhay Deols venture , a thing which i have sourfully missed in all the indian mystery movies which take you to magical flashbacks .In my diaries Manorama will have 3 and half rating and this review a poor 1 star. Some other day perhaps the author might have liked the movie .

The reviewer is a bad movie critic. His concept of cinema looks to be only limited to masala bollywood flicks with supernatural action scenes, Manorama is a truely a very good film, specially its script is a very well written one. The story was by no means a childish rather it was a very well written one, which made a real good sense at the end. I believe the reviewer is used to yash raj flicks and does not understand a quality script. I mean it was a quality script because it looked closed to reality and before the last 10 minutes also no one can predict the end. my rating for movie is 4/5 (where 5 is the best) and for Hanumant Bhansali 0/5 ( 0 is worst, and this is what his review is).
