Indian media company Eros International PLC said it has partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment to co-invest in a slate of Hindi-language films in India, popularly called Bollywood.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed, but Eros said the films will be released in India and around the world.
Eros and Sony will jointly develop, produce and acquire multiple films. Sony Pictures is expected to distribute some of the titles in the US and Eros will distribute the films in other international territories.
Sony Pictures Entertainment is the television and film production and distribution unit of Sony Corp.
