EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI

Ajab Si (Singer: KK)
Rating: 8/10
Incredibly descriptive and flattering, Ajab Si is a serene song which smoothly creeps in to your hearts. Music directors Vishal and Shekhar prove their mettle right from the very beginning of the soundtrack. The unique thing about this track is its lyricis penned by Vishal Dadlani, who has earlier tried writing for films like Bluffmaster. The musical arrangement is melodious and KK’s rendition make Ajab Si an enticing piece of music.

Dard-E-Disco (Singer: Sukhwinder Singh, Marianne, Nisha, Caralisa)
Rating: 6/10
Okay, it may sound a little corny but Dard-E-Disco is a first disappointment (hopefully). Touted as the dance number of the year, Dard-E-Disco is not going to entertain you without the visuals. Certainly, the song is created around the hype of Shah Rukh Khan’s six pack abs, which will give it a boost in the chartbusters rating. Otherwise, the Persian touch and the western music set up is far from making Dard-E-Disco the best dance number of the year.

Deewangi Deewangi (Singer: Shaan, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rahul Saxena)
Rating: 6/10
The graph of Om Shanti Om’s soundtrack gets slightly better with Deewangi Deewangi. The song has been rendered by industry’s stalwarts like Udit Narayan, Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Indian Idol contestant Rahul Saxena. The music is amalgamated with elements of qawaali, Punjabi folk with North Indian flavour but on the whole, the track leaves nothing for the listener to cherish. The song will lighten up your senses in parts, only till the movie keeps its place in the theatre.
