Aamir Khan’s parents, Tahir Hussain and Zeenat have separated. From what we hear, Zeenat has taken up a flat in Pune. Meanwhile, Tahir has moved in with son Hyder Ali at Versova.
Tahir and Zeenat had a strained relationship for a long time but recently the quarrels became too much to bear. The couple lived on the fourth floor of Marina Apartments at Pali Hill earlier. Aamir Khan occupies a duplex in the same building. Zeenat’s sudden move to Pune has surprised many. “It was surprising when Zeenat Hussain chose to go to Pune instead of putting up with her son Aamir in the same building. Aamir is very close to his mother. We cannot understand why Zeenat did not shift in with him,” our source reveals.
Tahir Hussain confirms the separation but denies any dispute with his wife, saying, “She has taken up a flat in Pune. I will visit her soon. She is staying there because she got the flat for a cheap price. I’m still staying in Mumbai.”
He also admits that he is now putting up at Versova, with his son Hyder Ali. “Yes, I am staying with Hyder Ali currently at his Versova Residence.
The inside story, our source says, goes deeper than that. “The couple had a big row earlier this week after which Zeenat immediately left the house and went to her daughter Nikhat’s in Pune. She soon bought an apartment for herself,” said another source form Bollywood. What’s more, the couple’s plush Pali Hill apartment has been rented out. “We wanted to save money. We are getting Rs 2.75 lakh as rent for our house. Things are working out fine with Zeenat living in Pune,” says Tahir.
When we asked him for Zeenat’s new address and contact details, Taahir refused outright, saying, “She is not keen on talking to anyone,” he said.
